Manager for a start-up company in the aviation business. Created their marketing programs and presence,
including Website development and advertising, logos, literature, signage, and trade shows.
Seattle Avionics Software is now one of the leading software providers in this market, enjoying excellent
brand recognition and market position.
Senior Manager, Commercial Marketing Manager, Fluke/Danaher. Responsible for creation
and execution of the Fluke corporate marketing program. He lead the
Marketing Communications, Web, Technical Publications, and Marketing Information groups, and managed
the corporate brand equity including the brand positioning of acquisitions. He introduced lean manufacturing
and Six Sigma techniques for office processes, and managed a $10M marketing budget.
Senior Manager, Market Segment Manager, Fluke Electrical Market. Started and grew a business
unit to $60 Million in annual revenue. His team included sales and marketing people in the US,
Europe, and Asia, and engineers in Everett, Japan, the UK, and The Netherlands. Responsible for
over $7M in marketing and engineering budgets and for an acquired $12M UK subsidiary. Accomplishments
include formulating the “market segment” concept within the Fluke Corporation, wherein
product development and sales/marketing programs are focused on customer demographics and
psychographics rather then product lines and features. Responsible for driving Fluke into new product
categories and low priced, high volume products.
Successfully extended Fluke’s Electrical Wholesaler distribution channel into Europe, and created an
industry-leading wholesaler merchandising program. Successfully managed the partnership with
Fluke’s largest Japanese vendor over four years, growing business with them from $5M to $30M.

efforts for a product design consulting firm specializing in high-tech electronic products.
